MYLDR ENERGY PARK FYRESDAL
Waste heat from the data centre creates major opportunities for new, sustainable businesses and industrial development.
Myldr Energy Park Fyresdal was established in 2021 and has since its inception worked to facilitate a forward-looking and sustainable data centre industry in Fyresdal. Myldr is owned by Fyresdal Vekst, which is 100% owned by Fyresdal Municipality.
With the data centre now under development, Myldr is entering a new phase. Data centres use large amounts of energy, which also generates significant amounts of heat. Myldr aims to develop projects and solutions that can make use of this heat.
Our goal is to create new and innovative industrial solutions where waste heat from the data centre provides a competitive advantage. We are also exploring infrastructure solutions for distributing heat.
The ambition is to create a circular energy park where renewable resources can be utilised in the best possible way. In collaboration with a range of business partners, we will facilitate the development of innovative projects where the utilisation of waste heat is a key element.
Myldr Energy Park facilitates:
Land: Since 2021, Myldr Energy Park Fyresdal has had a land purchase agreement with Fyresdal Municipality, enabling the development of commercial land for new businesses. So far, this has resulted in a designated site for a data centre operator. Going forward, the energy park will develop projects and land to capture the many opportunities and positive effects created by the establishment of a data centre.
WASTE HEAT: Myldr Energy Park Fyresdal has the rights to receive waste heat from the planned data centre. Heat is generated through the operation and cooling of the data halls. Myldr will have access to this heat in the form of heated water and is now developing projects that can utilise this resource.

Fyresdal has many of the key resources and conditions needed. In addition, we represent a business community with a strong drive to make things happen. We have demonstrated that large and complex projects can be successfully realised in Fyresdal, and we are committed to facilitating further development. Since 2014, Fyresdal Næringshage has been an important meeting place and competence centre for business development and the local business community in Fyresdal.
The Business Hub is home to a range of private and public organisations. In addition, Fyresdal Næringshage provides business advisory services in cooperation with Telemark Næringshage.
